Our Therapist

Maria Burdick is a Pennsylvania State Licensed Massage Therapist #MSG012733 who recently graduated from Great Lakes Institute of Technology.  Prior to attending Great Lakes Maria spent years helping others in the Social Services field.  Maria originally graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2010.   Maria went on to obtain her Masters of Arts in Social Services from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2013.  Although her direction has changed, Maria’s dedication to helping others has remained consistent throughout her life.

During her undergraduate education at Clarion, Maria conducted research focused on understanding and helping pregnant women quit smoking.  Through this research Maria learned the important benefits of stress reduction and its link to massage therapy.  This link played a key role in Maria’s career change.   Maria continues to be dedicated to helping others by reducing stress and anxiety through massage therapy.  Although Maria particularly enjoys both relaxation and therapeutic massage, she is extremely motivated to continue her education and expand her horizons by learning further modalities in the future such.

When Maria is not focused on helping others heal their mind and bodies she is an outdoors enthusiast that enjoys spending time with her family
